Expert Guide for Windows Registry

What is the Registry?
Registry ဆုိသည္မွာ 32 bit version မ်ားျဖစ္ေသာ Microsoft Windows မ်ားတြင္ပါ၀င္ေသာ Windows 95, 98, ME, NT/2000 တုိ႔၏ settings ႏွင့္ options မ်ား ပါ၀င္ေသာ database ႀကီးတစ္ခုပင္ျဖစ္ပါသည္။
Registry တြင္ PC မ်ားအတြက္
hardware, software, users ႏွင့္ preferences မ်ားပါရွိေသာ information မ်ားႏွင့္ settings မ်ားပါ၀င္ပါသည္။ User တစ္ဦးသည္ Control Panel setting, (သို႔) File Association, System Policies တြင္ install တင္လုိက္ေသာ software မ်ားသည္ Registry အတြင္းတြင္ ထပ္ဟပ္ေျပာင္းလဲၿပီး သုိေလွာင္ထားရွိသည္။

ကြန္ပ်ဴတာစနစ္တြင္ အခ်ဳိ႕ေသာ ေျပာင္းလဲခ်က္မ်ားကို Start>Control Panel မွ တစ္ဆင့္ အလြယ္တကူ ျပင္ႏုိင္သလုိ Registry သုိ႔ ၀င္ၿပီးျပင္ႏုိင္တာမ်ားလည္း ရွိတယ္။ သုိ႔ေသာ္ registry အေၾကာင္းကုိ အေတာ္ အသင့္နားလည္ထားသင့္ပါတယ္။ သုိ႔မဟုတ္ပါက windows စနစ္ကို ပ်က္စီးေစၿပီး file မ်ားပ်က္ကုန္တာမ်ဳိး ျဖစ္တတ္ပါတယ္။ မည္သုိ႔ပင္ျဖစ္ေစ registry မွာ ျပင္ျခင္းျဖင့္ စိတ္၀င္စားဖြယ္ေျပာင္းလဲခ်က္မ်ားကို ရရွိႏုိင္မွာ ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။

Hiding Control Panel from Start Menu
(Start Menu ေအာက္က Control Panel ကုိ ေဖ်ာက္ထားျခင္း)
1. Starting Regedit.
2.HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
ကုိ ဖြင့္ၿပီး ၎ Explorer တြင္ Right Click ႏွိပ္ပါ။ ေပၚလာေသာ popup menu တြင္ New>DWORD Value ကုိ ေရြးခ်ယ္ၿပီး ႏွိပ္လုိက္ပါ။ ေပၚလာေသာ 'New Value #1' တြင္ 'NoControlpanel' ဟု ႐ုိက္ထည့္ပါ။ ၎စာ သားေပၚတြင္ mouse ကုိ Right click ျပဳလုပ္ၿပီး 'Modify' ကုိ ဖြင့္ပါ။ ေပၚလာေသာ 'Edit DWORD Value' dialog box တြင္ 'Value data' ကုိ '1' ဟု ေျပာင္းထည့္ၿပီး 'OK' ကုိ ႏွိပ္လုိက္ပါ။ Computer ကုိ Restart ျပန္လုပ္လုိက္သည့္အခါတြင္ 'Start menu' တြင္ 'Control panel' ကုိ မျမင္ရေတာ့ပါ။

Changing the Registered Owner and Registered Organization
1. Starting Regedit
2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows NT/CurrentVersion
3. From there you can edit the name in the RegisteredOwner key and RegisteredOrganization key on the right panel by Double Click.

To speed up the Start Menu
1. Start the REGEDIT program
2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Control Panel/Desktop/
3. In the right panel, Name it MenushowDelay
4. Select a value from 1-10, 0 being the fastest.

Hiding Internet Option Tabs
1. Open Registry Editor.
2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Policies/Microsoft
3. Then Right Click on the Microsoft task pane, and select New>Key from pop-up menu.
4. When New Key #1 appear, type 'Internet Explorer'.
5. On the
text of 'Internet Explorer', right click again, then select New>Key from pop-up menu.
6. Rename New Key to 'Control Panel' by typing.
7. On the 'Control Panel' right click and from the pop-up menu select 'New>DWORD Value'.
8. When appear New Value #1 in the right panel, retype 'Security Tab'.
9. Double Click 'Security Tab' and select 'Modify' to open.
10. When appear 'Edit DWORD Value data: change to 1 to active and click OK button.
11. Then Restart Computer again, you can't see in the Internet Options (dialog box),
Security (tab).
12. Otherwise, you can changed anyone options.
(for example; In the New Value #1 'General', 'Privacy', 'Content', 'Connections', 'Programs', 'Advanced'.
